Growing & Maintenance Tips for Aster divaricatus
Plant in partial or full shade in average soil. Will grow in dry soil. Plant with Hosta, Astilbe, Polemonium and other perennials that get ragged by September because this aster will divert attention from worn out plants If plants tend to get leggy, cut them back to about 12" by early June. After the flowers finish blooming songbirds feed on the seed so leave these plants standing through the winter.
